- Christopher Sedgwick Added March 03, 2020★ ★ ★ ★ ★Arrived in Ayr at lunch and asked a local about a cafe. Directed to Alfies Bakery. We had roast pork on gravy roll, meat pie, trifle, and coffee. Shop and tables very clean Staff most helpful and even let my wife use their toilet. Excellent stop for lunch with plenty of parking.

I would have given a 5 star but the lady on the coffee machine started serving customers that came in after us first so we had to wait for our coffee we were wanting to get back on the road. Coffee was good too. Would call again

The bread is always burnt and horrible tasting - you know that lovely smell of fresh bread... you wont get that here. The cakes are sub-par - some look ok, but you can easily get a better, cheaper, and nicer-tasting cake across the road at Woolworths. Sorry guys, but we've given you a few chances, but you've let us down every time - wont come back here again!
